Sunnyside Park
In early 2022, Baker Turner Inc. was entrusted by the City of Oshawa to lead the comprehensive redevelopment of Sunnyside Park, an existing neighborhood park nestled in South Oshawa. This ambitious project encompassed a wide array of enhancements aimed at enriching the experience for local residents. Central to the redevelopment efforts was the installation of a brand new playground, shade structure, and multisport court to cater to the active lifestyle of the residents.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility and convenience, the design also included the construction of a new parking lot and an improved pedestrian walkway system to allow for smooth and safe navigation through the park, complemented by thoughtfully placed site furnishings to promote relaxation and social interaction.
